James Hanna, Realtor at REMAX Gold in Davis, contributed to this week’s column with some numbers and some insight on what is happening in Yolo County.

There are only 210 homes listed for sale in all of Yolo County, which is nowhere near enough inventory for the number of buyers and Realtors ready and willing to buy a house today regardless of today’s interest rates and tough affordability index.

When inventory is low, and business is slow, the full-time real estate agents in Yolo and Solano counties that are ambitious and hungry, hustle and drive to where the inventory is available.

James, like many of my Realtor friends, is taking advantage of the new homes being built within 60 miles of his home base office and is registering his potential buyers at the new home subdivisions that fit his buyer’s profile.

James and Brian have sold a few of these homes this year and K. Hovnanian will be selling 240 more of these homes over the next couple years. Take a minute and watch the K.
